Eugenia Leon is a Mexican singer. With the support of her sister, founded the group Victor Jara, who was dedicated to the folk music of Latin America, then integrates Sanampay group, composed of musicians and singers Mexicans and Argentines, whose director is Labrin Naldo, where individual decides to emerge in 1982, building a repertoire consisting of pieces by Mexican composers of his time, playing the bolero and Brazilian music.

He made his first album in 1983, so I love you, and Mexico crosses appearing accompanied by a small group of musicians. In 1985 competed with the song El Fandango Here, Marcial Alejandro, representing Mexico in the International Festival OTI, held in Seville, Spain. Eugenia won first place at the prestigious festival, but there was no time to celebrate and give interviews or signing contracts, because the day before the final stage of the festival was recorded in Mexico City the worst earthquake in the history of Mexico City. He has recorded more than twenty albums. He has also played various genres like mariachi, boleros and tango.

In 1998, the Veracruz state government handed Agustin Lara medal in recognition of his interpretations of the composer Veracruz. He worked with Pablo Milanes Accomplices on tour, traveling much of the Mexican Republic. He also worked with the Mexican tenor Ramon Vargas during production of the album Heart Mexicano, sponsored by the Government of the Federal District. In 2003, began work as host of the TV show Acoustic channel 22 in Mexico City, where she interviews personalities of Latin American music. Doing duets with guests like: Daniela Romo, Jose Feliciano, Lila Downs, Regina Orozco, Susana Zabaleta, La Sonora Santanera, The Damn Yankees and Amaury Perez and others. Celebrating its 20th anniversary as a performer, Eugenia León gave a concert at the National Auditorium on November 1, 2003, giving a concert accompanied by the Mariachi Vargas and the Symphony Orchestra of the Americas. Some international performances in France, Japan, New York, Seville, Cartagena, Germany, Brazil, Morocco, Egypt and Beijing.

In 2008, Eugenia participates in a special Mexican music as guest artist, entitled "Fiesta Mexicana" for American cultural television network PBS, which also involved Vikki Carr, Alberto Angel "El Cuervo" and Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano. He was honored by the city government as Tlalnepantla beloved daughter of the town in the Equinox Festival 2008. Eugenia appeared on October 14, 2011 at the opening of the Pan American Games Guadalajara 2011.
