Linzi Stoppard started taking violin lessons at the age of four.[1] She studied using the Suzuki method, became a member of the London Junior Orchestra, and toured Europe extensively. She won a music scholarship, and continued her classical training on the violin. She also took up piano and clarinet.

At the age of eighteen, Linzi Stoppard signed her first modeling contract, while still teaching and playing session violin. She is currently signed to Models 1.

At the age of nineteen, she was spotted by two music producers while playing session violin. The producers wanted her to front the rock group Tattoo of Pain with lead vocals / electric violin. She signed a deal with EMI Belgium, and Avex Trax Japan, and spent the next year recording an electro/rock album. After recording the album Vengeance Is Mine, the band toured, but decided against recording a second album.

Linzi Stoppard then formed a duo called Babe Instinct, for which she provided the vocals. The duo signed a deal with EMI Europe, Sony France, and Positiva Records UK. Babe Instinct's first single Disco Babes from Outta Space was a top twenty hit in the UK. The duo toured extensively, and then recorded another successful single Fade to Grey.

Later, Linzi Stoppard went back to the electric violin and performed at exclusive events around the world. Linzi has transfixed audiences with her passionate and mesmerising performances. Each live set sees musical influences from The Rolling Stones to Cafe Del Mar. In 2006, the director Stephen L'Heureux offered her a cameo role in his next film, after he saw her performing at the Cannes Film Festival.[2]

Apart from her music performances, Linzi is currently recording her debut solo eclectic album on the electric violin with producer Steve Brown.

Linzi Stoppard is married to Will Stoppard, son of Tom Stoppard and Dr. Miriam Stoppard.[1]

In 2008 the electric violin duo FUSE (a collaboration between Linzi Stoppard and fellow violinist, Ben Lee) became the face of the classical, cinematic & chillout music-video channel C Music TV. FUSE performed for the channel's European launch event at the 2008 Cannes Television festival.
