William Gaminara is a British actor and screenwriter. He is best known as the voice of Dr. Richard Locke in the long-running radio soap, The Archers. He joined the cast of BBC's forensic drama, Silent Witness, as Dr. Leo Dalton in 2002 following his stint as Will in the dot com drama, Attachments. He previously appeared as Dr. Andrew Bower in Casualty from 1989 to 1992 and once again portrayed a physician in The Bill.
Gaminara has also appeared in other shows such as Spooks, Dangerfield, The House of Eliott and Soldier Soldier among others. Beyond his work in front of the camera, Gaminara is also an accomplished writer. He has written episodes for This Life and The Lakes and recently completed the TV adaptation of Rachel Morris' novel, Ella and the Mothers. In 1997, Gaminara won the Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award for TV-Original Drama Serial for This Life. He also narrates, including a number of Sharpe novels.
