Maria Dizzia is an American stage and screen actress. Dizzia grew up in Cranford, New Jersey and studied theater at Cornell University. She received her M.F.A. from the University of California, San Diego. She was nominated for the 2010 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play for her performance in In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play). In its review of In the Next Room, The New York Times described Dizzia's performance as "standout".
