The Noisettes featuring lead singer Shingai Shoniwa have released a new single which is currently No5 in the chart and is off there second album called “Wild Young Hearts” which is due to be released on 20 April. ”Don’t Upset the Rhythm” is the single that is doing wonders for this London based Indie band, things seem to be happening, talent alert bells are ringing, better dive in and have a look whats going on! The Noisettes comprise lead singer and bassist Shingai Shoniwa, guitarist Dan Smith, and drummer Jamie Morrison. They have been around since 2003 so they can hardly be classed as emerging talent. The Noisettes recently along with other big names including Paul Weller, Graham Coxon, The Smiths’s Andy Rourke, and members of New Young Pony Club and Supergrass performed an exclusive rendition of a specially created track, alongside their own material, to raise money for the homelessness charity Crisis Consequences.

”Don’t Upset the Rhythm” which recently featured on The Mazda2 advert in January, they also very recently performed live on the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge. Video below: Fresh, Creative, Big Indie sound, good live vibe, Shingai Shoniwa has solid vocals and is a good performer to watch, the song is different but not so different it will not have mass market appeal, its catchy, decent with interesting lyrics instead of the normal pop blandness, nice backing vocals and some old school cockney slang thrown in for good measure. Very very high on originality. We luvvvvv! Just a bit more guitar would have had us marking higher. Rating 3 and half stars out 5. Interesting to see if it makes UK No1, not so sure about the stateside appeal on this one, as its a very London giggy sort of sound! Noisettes………keep an eye on these!
