Shane Steven Harper is an American actor, singer-songwriter, and dancer. He is best known for his recurring role as Spencer Walsh in the Disney Channel's teen sitcom Good Luck Charlie. His self-titled debut album was released on February 14, 2012.
Harper began dancing and acting at the age of 9 and was involved in community theater and competitive dance. In the spring of 2006, a talent agent on the judging panel of a regional dance competition offered Harper an agency representation. He also studied martial arts from the age of 4 until he was 12 and obtained a black belt in Karate. Singing in church all of his life, Harper continued to nurture his love for music. Harper also plays acoustic guitar. Harper's family relocated from San Diego County, California to Orange County, California in 1998. Harper has an older sister, Samantha, also a professional dancer, and a younger brother Sullivan, a model. Harper is dating Bridgit Mendler, his co-star from Good Luck Charlie . When asked, “Is it Spencer from Good Luck Charlie?” that she is dating. She responded, “It wasn’t one of those… ‘you meet on a set and date instantly’, it took two years.
