Priya started her career in modeling (fashion and swimwear). She was an exotic dancer for 12 years prior to beginning her career in pornography. Rai was abandoned at birth by her biological parents. Fortunately, Priya was adopted by American parents at age two and brought to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she grew up in the suburbs. Rai studied marketing at Arizona State University.
