Up-and-coming Hollywood talent Lisa Jay grew up in Boise, Idaho. She and her two brothers were raised by her father Doug, a paramedic, and mother Gloria, a social worker. Lisa had an athletic upbringing competing in gymnastics and track, but also entertained her artistic inclinations at an early age writing plays and performing puppet shows for her neighborhood. During high school Lisa was scouted by a modeling agent at a career fair, and within a year was named Runway Model of the Year, and first runner-up Swimsuit and Model of the Year, at the International Model & Talent Convention (IMTA) in Los Angeles. It was here Lisa was offered several international modeling contracts. Soon after graduating early from high school, Lisa found herself globetrotting between the U.S. and Japan. She enjoyed a year of traveling to exotic locales in and around Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto doing fashion and catalogue work. Soon after returning to the States Lisa moved to Los Angeles, where she began her career working in film and television.



Lisa’s television career started off with a bang seducing James Marsters in a memorable role on the last season of the cult phenomenon Buffy the Vampire Slayer. After screen testing for the daytime soaps Passions and Days of Our Lives, NBC Daytime offered Lisa the recurring role of “Madison” on Days in 2004. She resurfaced on the show in 2006, and enjoyed stirring up trouble in the storylines for over a year, playing the calculating and manipulative “Lauren”. In 2005 Lisa was handpicked to star in a pilot presentation performance for the prestigious Producer’s Guild of America Diversity Showcase. During the last several years Lisa has also appeared in multiple television roles, including the FOX pilot More, Patience, and episodes of hit primetime shows including Medium, CSI: New York, Veronica Mars, Las Vegas, and Everybody Hates Chris. Lisa has also been to making her exciting foray into film. In 2005 Lisa starred in the independent comedy mockumentary Sex Sells: The Making of Touché, which enjoyed a theatrical run in select theatres and worldwide video distribution. That same year Lisa took a turn playing a unique character role in Circadian Rhythm, an independent sci-fi action thriller with Rachel Miner (The Black Dalhia, Californication). Lisa is currently shooting and playing a starring role in the Big Sky Motion Picture feature Spring Break ’83, directed by Mars Callahan (Poolhall Junkies, What Love Is), also featuring great talents such as John Goodman, Jamie Kennedy, and Joey Pantoliano.



In between television and film appearances Lisa has continued to maintain and enjoy a successful modeling career working with names such as Maxim, Best Body Magazine, Coors Light, Serfontaine Denim, LEI, Maternal America, Hotboat Magazine, Bloom Energy Drink, Performance Boats, Wet Seal, and many, many others. She has also appeared in numerous commercial spots for major brands such as Toyota, Lincoln Mercury, Taco Bell, and Michelob Ultra.



Lisa studied extensively with famed Hollywood acting coach Howard Fine, and currently studies with renowned cold reading expert Margie Haber. She will always consider herself a lifelong student of acting, with an immeasurable respect for the craft. Lisa has a profound love for the process itself, and for the personal growth and the triumph of the human spirit it evokes. Adrian Zmed (Bachelor Party, TJ Hooker, Grease 2), who worked alongside Lisa in The Making of Touché and Spring Break ’83, says, “I've had the great pleasure of working with Lisa. She has that unique combination of great skills and instincts, in addition to charismatic screen presence...she's a star waiting to be born.”



Lisa maintains a very close relationship with her family and friends. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and running, and is a devout student of power yoga.
