She was an American Idol semi-finalist during its first season. In the second season of American Idol, she was hired by FOX to replace Brian Dunkleman as co-host; however, on premiere night, the producers edited most of her footage out of the show, and she was later credited as correspondent for the show instead.She appeared in a minor role in Where the Truth Lies, 2005 film.

She has also worked as a morning radio co-host in Dallas on KRBV (now KJKK), the host of Hasbro's DVD game Shout About Television, a party game similar to Shout About Movies, and as a host on the Starz network. She also worked with V-Cast on Verizon Wireless phones.In addition, she appeared in a minor role as a reporter on a 2008 episode of the television series Dirty Sexy Money, and is reportedly going to appear in a minor role in the upcoming film Rock Slyde.[She is also the vocalist of the band Stranger Days.She appeared as a covergirl for an issue of Stuff magazine.

Kristin Holt Adams first burst on the scene when she sang her way to the top 30 finalists in the first season of Fox's "American Idol." She was then asked  to return as the co-host and special correspondent for the second season of the show, helping her launch a successful hosting career.
 
But she's more than just a girl that can carry a tune - She made a name for herself in videogame culture as the host of G4TV's show "Cheat." For over 4 years she's been helping gamers unlock the secrets of cheat codes for the hottest video games. When she's not frantically mashing the buttons of a console controller, she's delivering daily gaming and tech news on the number one source for video game news and reviews: “X-Play.”  You can also find her serving up all the news you need to know in The Feed on "Attack of the Show."
 
The G4 network isn't the only place you'll find Kristin hosting. In 2007, Kristin joined the Starz! Movie Channel family as the host of "Starz! Movie News." Have you flown American Airlines lately? From 2005 until 2008 Kristin was featured on every plane as the host of the in-flight entertainment show "Screenlife Presents." Thousands of people passed those long hours in the sky watching her host the interactive trivia show featuring the DVD game "Scene It."
 
Despite all of her success in Tinseltown, Kristin will certainly never forget her roots - she began her career in her native state of Texas as the morning show co-host of one of Dallas' top radio stations: WILD 100.3. While cutting her teeth at WILD, she finished her Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science at Texas Christian University - and in 2000-2001 Kristin traveled the globe with the world famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders as a featured dancer and singer entertaining U.S. Troops in over 10 countries on USO tours.
