Kiko Mizuhara is an American, Tokyo-based International model and actress. She is a former exclusive model for the Japanese magazine ViVi and the Japanese edition of Seventeen. Kiko was born in Dallas, Texas to a Zainichi Korean mother and an American father. She has one younger sister("Yuka" also a model). At the age of 1, Kiko and her family moved to Tokyo and then later settled in Kobe, Japan, where her father had taken work. When Kiko was 13-years-old in 2003, her parents divorced.

Her father returned to the U.S. and she remained with her mother in Kobe, Japan, until moving to Tokyo at 16 to pursue her career full time. Though residing in Japan most of her life, she maintains American citizenship also and is bilingual. In 2001 she was discovered and made her modeling debut through a Seventeen magazine contest in which she entered a picture of herself. She was chosen by readers and editorial staff as Miss Seventeen and became an exclusive model for the magazine for the next 3 years. She later worked for ViVi magazine, but then terminated her contract when her acting career began and she became a regular model for Nylon Japan, and various other high fashion publications. She made her film debut in Norwegian Wood (2010) as the character Midori, directed by Tran Anh Hung based on Haruki Murakami's novel of the same name.
