Katie Nicole Dix was born in Bakersfield, California. Her desire for being on the stage began early on. During her school years, she enjoyed the spotlight in all of her endeavors. In 2005, legendary country artist Buck Owens, learned of her talent and began to showcase her regularly on his Crystal Palace stage and radio. Buck’s mentoring, influence, and encouragement inspired Katie to strive for a full-time career in the entertainment field.

After Buck’s passing, Katie moved to Las Vegas where she worked different jobs while continuing to establish herself as a singer. Her playful sex appeal, wit, and charm undoubtedly helped her capture the attention of any audience. She was quickly chosen to front a country band known as The Moronix, and soon after was recruited by Envy, one of the hottest dance bands in Vegas, which has played several casinos on and off the Las Vegas Strip. In addition to singing with her band, Katie has been a cover model for Fun and Fit, Roxanne and Tradeshow magazine and has been featured in Sinner and Las Vegas Magazine. Katie performs in the show Fantasy at the Luxor as a lead vocalist, where she also demonstrates her hosting skills and engages the audience with creative banter.

Katie, now a three-year veteran performer of Vegas, welcomes the opportunity to combine her passion and talent for the role of “Carrie Underwood” in the show American Superstars at the Stratosphere. Katie will sing, dance, and act in the style that is truly at the root of her soul…country!
