Born in the beautiful town of La Paz de Chame in the Republic of Panama, Jossie inherited her passion for music from her mother, Doris Vergara, a popular folk singer in the region. Growing up near the seaside, she enjoyed the warmth of her large family and the rhythm of the regional music. Her many hobbies included horseback riding, and fishing with her grandparents.

A Horatio Alger story, Jossie arrived in the U.S. with her dreams of becoming a singer, songwriter and performer. She quickly found a job in Fort Lauderdale, FL in a clothing store. Because of her determination and drive, she soon owned her own lingerie store. This led to opening her second store and expanding into wholesale lingerie. She managed to successfully own and operate her two stores plus wholesale business, sell international real estate and support her mother and nephews in Panama.

Satisfied with her accomplishments, Jossie decided to now focus on her true love and passion of music. With Gloria Estefan and Selena as her inspiration, she worked with an obsession taking singing, dancing, acting and music lesions. Following her dreams, she was willing to skip meals, race from class to class and forgo sleep and other diversions to further hone her skills. Jossie always sought out the very best teachers and mentors. She attended modeling classes to refine and enhance her stage presentation skills.

Today, Jossie Cordoba is a talented singer-songwriter, musician and producer of great vitality and versatility. She has performed, recorded, directed and produced with the crème of Latin music musicians and performers. Jossie Cordoba’s image and talent has graced well-known stages, events, and TV programs throughout the U.S. Latin market and Latin America. Ms. Cordoba’s music is Latin pop with influences from all of Latin music’s sub-genres (Tropical Salsa/Merengue, Reggaeton, Cumbia and Regional Mexican) which are the fastest growing of the Latin music segment.
