India de Beaufort has always had a penchant for performing. “As a child I was ‘that kid,’” she admits. “I have a famous dance move that I used to do as a child. It was 'The Head Roll.' I was that kid, in the living room, at the drop of a hat, performing or doing whatever.” That desire to be in the spotlight eventually earned India a role on The Basil Brush Show, a BAFTA-nominated BBC children’s sitcom known for its colorful musical numbers. “I was 15,” she says. “I was on the show to sing. That was really the direction I was headed in.”
