Heather Hemmens is an American actress, film director and producer. She's most known for her role as Alice Verdura in The CW's recently cancelled drama, Hellcats. She is born in 1984 to a Costa Rican mother Heather was raised in the woods of Waldo, Maine with her two older brothers and older sister in a home whose electricity was produced by a generator, wood heat and no running water. Hemmens attended Mount View High School in Thorndike, Maine, before receiving a scholarship to attend the performing arts high school Walnut Hill School for the Arts near Boston for her final two years of high school. She went to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career upon graduating.

She has a black belt in martial arts and weapons training. Heather is the sister of handbag designer Natalie Hemmens and jazz musician Jason Hemmens. In 2010, Hemmens was cast as Alice Verdura in the The CW's Hellcats, a dramedy about competitive college cheerleading, executive produced by Tom Welling. In addition, Hemmens has also directed and produced the short films Perils of an Active Mind and Designated which were both released in 2010. Hemmens currently lives in Los Angeles, and resides in Vancouver, British Columbia where Hellcats was shot.
