Cindy Adams (b. April 24, 1925) New York City) is an American gossip columnist and the widow of comedian Joey Adams.

Born as Cynthia Heller[citation needed] and raised by a single mother, Cindy Adams writes a gossip column for the New York Post and contributes to WNBC's Sunday Today in New York. She had previously contributed twice a week on WNBC's Live at Five until the newscast took on a new format on March 12, 2007.

Adams became a syndicated columnist in 1981; she was an original contributor to the tabloid TV show A Current Affair and has appeared often on Good Morning America. In 1990, Adams served as a panelist on the television game show To Tell the Truth.

She has a fragrance line, Gossip, and has written several books. Adams is known for her friendships with many of the rich and famous people she writes about, particularly fellow animal lovers such as Judge Judy, Joan Rivers and the late Carrie Nye. She also has a pet boutique at Macy's department store called Jazzy's of Park Avenue; Jazzy was the name of Adams' dog.

She is known for the signing of her New York Post column with the tag line "Only in New York, Kids, Only in New York" when relating humorous and curious New York anecdotes.

The popular Stage Deli in Manhattan's theatre district (just north of Times Square) named a sandwich named for her. The "Cindy Adams" sandwich consists of corned beef, pastrami, and swiss.
