Actor, producer, director and activist Chris M. Allport has succeeded in many areas of the entertainment business. A professional actor from the age of eight, Chris has appeared in numerous television commercials, stage productions, print ads and television shows. However, Chris' true performing arts love is voice over and vocal music. He has performed on stage with such artists as Barbra Streisand in her Emmy award winning show "Timeless", and can be heard on the soundtracks to many films, including Disney's 'Mr. Holland's Opus' and Fox 2000's 'Finding Forester'. Chris has voiced over such celebrities as Leonardo DiCaprio in 'The Basket Ball Diaries' and is the crowing voice of Peter Pan (Robin Williams) in Steven Spielberg's classic feature 'Hook'.

After graduating magna cum laude from Loyola Marymount University's School of Communication Arts with an emphasis in Television Production in 2000, where he was the opinion / perspectives editor of The Loyolan newspaper, Chris decided to open an independent television and film production company. Chris has produced and directed several documentary shorts specifically related to the arts and humanities. With his great love of people and unique cinematic view, through various crew and leadership positions, Chris has brought to audiences a new perspective on such subjects as the Young Musicians Foundation, the Ballona Wetlands / Gabriellino Indian struggle, the Loyola Marymount Concert Choir, the Annenberg / YMF Debut Orchestra Camp, WWII Navajo Code Talkers, and WWII B 17 flight crews. Recently, Chris directed a promotional film for Melissa Gilbert's candidacy for Screen Actors Guild President.

With the help of the Screen Actors Guild and Paul Petersen's organization A Minor Consideration, Chris was an integral part in passing new legislation to protect the educational rights young performers. He was also a contributor to the revision of the California Coogan Law. Actively involved with the political structures of the Screen Actors Guild, Chris shares his knowledge with new young performers entering the business on a regular basis.

As an acting coach, Chris teaches privately, group classes and has also volunteered his time to the Donna Reed Foundation for the Performing Arts. He has also been a judge for the Saban Scholarship for young performers with disabilities. In his endeavors, Chris has collaborated with such celebrities as William H. Macy, Pete Rugolo, Melissa Gilbert, Mike Farrell, Shelley Fabares and Paul Petersen, just to name a few.

On the political front . . .Chris has worked for several campaigns including: Barry Gordon for Congress 1999, and the Democratic National Convention (Gore / Lieberman 2000). Chris stands up for what he believes in and for the good of society. Passionate about life, he will never take on a project that he isn't equally passionate about. Chris was elected to the Hollywood Division of the Screen Actors Guild Board of Directors for a one year term. He encourages other actors with leadership skills to get involved in SAG.
