The show starred Ally Walker and Robert Davi.

A year after departing “Pretender,” Wachs again took a Young Artist nomination, this time for her fine guest performance of Faith Parker in one episode of “The Pretender,” and finally won one in 2000 after portraying Dara Lynn Prestonin the family film Shiloh 2: Shiloh Season (1999). She shared the award with costars Zachary Browne, Rachel David, Marissa Leigh and Joe Pichler.

Following the direct-to-video-release Air Bud: World Pup (2000, as Andrea Framm), Wachs was cast in the supporting role of Rivers Applewhite in director Jay Russell’s drama My Dog Skip (2000), where she was handed a 2001 Young Artist for Best Ensemble in a Feature Film, sharing with Frankie Muniz, Cody Linley, Bradley Coryell and Daylan Honeycutt, appeared as Rachel in the Madonna and Rupert Everett comedy vehicle The Next Best Thing (2000) as well as portrayed Kevin Costner’s daughter in Roger Donaldson’s Thirteen Days (2001). In 2002, Wachs offered a well-received portrayal of the young Vivi Abbott in the Warner Bros. film The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, which starred Sandra Bullock and Ashely Judd. The roles brought her nominations at DVD Exclusive Awards for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress in a DVD Premiere Movie.

Meanwhile, Wachs surfaced on television, starring opposite Tim Curry and Gary Cole in the WB’s highly anticipated series “Family Affair” (2002-2003). In this remake of the 60’s touching family comedy, the budding player plays Sigourney ‘Sissy’ Davis, the older sister of Buffy (Sasha Pieterse) and Jody (Jimmy ‘Jax’ Pinchak). Continuing her small careen project, Wachs undertook a costarring role along side Jason Schwartzman, Molly Shannon and Christopher McDonald in the Mike White-created series “Cracking Up” (2004), playing Chloe Shackleton, and starred as Rebecca Calloway in the short-lived “Commander in Chief” (2005-2006).
