On the trails of a revealed fall apart with Lil' Wayne,
Trina is planning up to release her forthcoming album, Da Baddest Chick Reloaded. SOHH recently spoke with the Diamond Princess about her new song "Single Again," which recently leaked on the web, and her new relationship status.
According to
Trina's Miami-based label Slip-N-Slide, the company discovered Tuesday (September 25) that
Trina's then-unreleased single "Single Again," was stolen from a studio computer and illegally distributed.
To further complicate matters, the version that was taken was not the official track planned for release.
"This mishap is extremely unfortunate, but the official 'Single Again' track featuring
Trina by herself will be re-released the proper way by the end of the week," said Slip-N-Slide CEO Ted Lucas via statement. "I am thankful that nothing else was taken from the computer. I guess we can look at this as a bizarre experience and move forward with upcoming
Trina's project."
Yesterday (September 26)
Trina confirmed with SOHH that the song, "Single Again," has now been officially released.
"The first single is dropping today,"
Trina told SOHH. "I've been working on this album over the past year and I think it's a great reflection of my growth musically, lyrically, production-wise. I wanted to try different things. I wanted people to say 'Wow that is a different kind of record for her.' I see a whole level of difference with myself and I'm excited about that."
Asked whether she is indeed "single again,"
Trina laughed before responding, "I knew that would be the next question. I am in a very great place in my life. I am very happy."
While
Trina was previously romantically linked to Lil' Wayne, the self-proclaimed "Baddest B---h" was tight-lipped when questioned about the New Orleans rapper.
"He's a great person, he's a great guy,"
Trina said before adding that Weezy is "definitely" a friend.
Trina told SOHH her fourth album Da Baddest Chick Reloaded will be hitting stores on February 12, 2008. The album includes production from Cool & Dre, Scott Storch and The Runners, among others.
