Present are brawny signs that producers Bunty Walia and Jassi Walia’s approaching scheme Just Punjabi will star the hottest star pair: Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. That’s not all, the Ek Ajnabee producers have also reportedly finalized Sanjay Dutt, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu. True? “The news is partly true,” Bunty Walia informs me, “I have already spoken to Sanju and Abhishek about the project. I have also had a word with Ash; I wouldn’t like to deny that. I would love to have her on board. But we’ve yet to sign on the dotted line,” the enterprising producer clarifies.
What about John and Bipasha? “I don’t know how this news originated. It’s not true at all. Yes, there’s a third hero in the film, but no one has been confirmed yet,” Bunty states. Apoorva Lakhia, who directed Ek Ajnabee for the producers, will direct Just Punjabi as well. “Apu [Lakhia] is still working on the script,” he adds.
