In a sparkling and dazzling charity performance to advantage Much Love Animal Rescue, it was Bunnies, not puppies, who completed the panorama. Held on the grounds of the infamous Playboy Mansion, Hilary and
Haylie Duff, emcee Bob Saget, fellow Full Houser Lori Laughlin,
Sara Ramirez, Holly Madison, Marisa Jaret-Winokur, Norm McDonald, Billy Baldwin, The Barbi Twins, and
Tori Spelling, all showed their support for the dog and cat rescue project. First to arrive was
Sara Ramirez who seemed to pick whatever random dress from K-Mart she had in her closet, thinking she’d make the sack look sexy by tying a knot in the hem. I’m sure the transition from her typical scrubs she wears on Grey’s Anatomy to actually wearing clothes in broad daylight is difficult, but that dress? Anyway, she was so sincerely supportive of the Much Love Animal Rescue and has plans to adopt her own puppy soon. Dogs are not allowed on the set though, so she hates the idea of being away from a new puppy for too long.
Speaking of the set, I overheard her telling a reporter that life on the set was peaceful and that everyone was just happy to be back at work. Hairspray’s Marisa Jaret-Winokur arrived with boundless enthusiasm. She’s just so excited! Wearing a D&G white crochet dress, she looked fresh and slender! Next up were The Barbi Twins. And I’m wordless. All I can think to say is melting plastic. And hiking boots on the red carpet? I can’t go on. The carpet arrivals were actually boring, so I snuck into the party. Inside, Playboy bunnies took pictures with eager guests as enticing silent auction items lined the way of the famous Grotto. The food was entirely vegetarian and guests snapped up the fried risotto like crazy (though loads of people burned their tongues!). I overheard one guy admit, “The puppies are cute, but I’d much rather adopt a bunny tonight.”
