| Solange Piaget Knowles was born on June 24, 1986 in Houston, Texas, to Mathew and Tina Knowles. Her father is African-American and her mother is of Creole descent. Her maternal grandparents, Lumis Beyonce and Agnéz Deréon (a seamstress), were French-language-speaking Louisiana Creoles. Knowles is the younger sister to Beyoncé Knowles and close friends with Kelly Rowland. On February 27, 2004, at the age of 17, Knowles married 20 year old football player Daniel Smith. On October 18, 2004, Knowles gave birth to their son named Daniel Julez Smith Jr. Julez, as Knowles calls him, made his television debut on 106 & Park on September 5, 2006.[2] |
