| Biography of Rhona Mitra |
Mitra appeared in the final season of The Practice playing Tara, and continued that role into its spin-off Boston Legal, but left not long into the second season. She also appeared as a live action model for Lara Croft from Eidos Interactive's Tomb Raider video game series. Mitra was ranked #46 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2001.[2] In 2005, she had a recurring role of Kit McGraw during Season 3 of Nip/Tuck.
After becoming the official living embodiment of the video game character Lara Croft, she underwent breast implant surgery in an effort to properly "become" the fictional character. Despite the widely circulated rumor that her own father performed Rhona's breast augmentation, Rhona has laughed off the story which was originally published in the popular British tabloid newspaper, The Sun. In 2000, Mitra's surgically augmented nude breasts were on display in a small, non-speaking part as a victim of the title role villain in the film "Hollow Man." |
