Tiga is the stage name of Montreal-born DJ/producer Tiga James Sontag. His album Sexor won the 2007 Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year.

Tiga is a DJ/producer/singer based in Montreal. After breaking through with the massive success of his cover of Corey Hart's "Sunglasses at Night", he has gone on to release two albums and dozens of high-profile remixes. Along with Zombie Nation, he is half of the supergroup ZZT, and has released material as The Dove, Rainer Werner Bassfinder (with Jesper Dahlbäck), and TGV (with Mateo Murphy).

Before embarking on his solo career, Tiga was a key figure in establishing the rave scene in his native city in the early 90s. Tiga was also involved in the creation of the legendary after-hours club SONA. In 1994, he opened a record store called DNA Records, and in 1998, founded his own label, Turbo Recordings, which has gone on to release music from acts like Proxy, ZZT, Boys Noize, Gesaffelstein and Azari & III.

Tiga is also the host of the popular BBC Radio 6 show "My Name Is Tiga", and made his acting debut in the 2011 film "Ivory Tower", which won special mention at the Locarno Film Festival.
