Maimon was born in Haifa, Israel, and raised in Kiryat Haim to a Moroccan mother and a Tunisian father. At the age of 10, she participated in a children festival and performed songs in it. In 2001, she appeared in a music video of the band Teapacks. Later on, she moved to Eilat and worked there for a year and a half as a barwoman and a singer.
