From an early age, Shani heard the call to travel and expand her sphere from beyond her birthplace of Hot Springs, Arkansas (boyhood home of Bill Clinton). As a young girl, she would spend hours singing to the artists of the day while her father played drums and also putting on "shows" in her garage or working in community theater playing the lead in a production at age 8. Encouraging her passion for the arts, her family threw caution to the winds and relocated to Los Angeles taking the Southern cheerleader and choir girl to help her receive the best training in order to launch her career.

Once arriving in Los Angeles, she began to hone her skills as an actor and began to audition for episodic television and commercials. Simultaneously, she continued to write and sing and started collaborating with some of the International music scene's great talents, working closely with World Music Star Andy Madadian (Andy) and learning the intricacies of the exotic and sensual Eastern rhythms and melodies and was forever hooked. Equal parts actor, singer, songwriter, and producer, Shani is a skilled juggler keeping each of her talents in a neat and perfect balance. She has managed to produce 3 albums, most recently the Internationally acclaimed "Call of the Wild" with songs having been featured in _Crash (2004)_ and on HBO for Oliver Stone's "Persona Non Grata" and has a new album "At the Casbah" soon to be released. She has contributed to the Soundtrack of Parasite Eve (1998) (VG) - SonyPlaystation as the voice of "Somnia Memorias" and continues to work on various soundtracks. House of Sand and Fog (2003) and _Keeper: The Legend of Omar Khayyam, The (2004)_ are examples of her fluency to both work behind the scenes on the music and also be in front of the camera as an Actor / Performer. Since the early days of her time in Hollywood playing an ingenue opposite Ricky Schroder on "Silver Spoons", Shani has now achieved international recognition as a recording artist, touring extensively around the world and songwriter who continues to be solicited for her contribution to soundtracks and continues on her path in front of the camera working as an actor in feature films.
