Zemeckis is a veteran of the stage as well as the writer/producer of the short film STARR: SHE'D RATHER BE A MISTRESS. Her acting film credits include Robert Zemeckis’ POLAR EXPRESS and BEOWOLF, DETERRANCE by director Rod Lurie, SACRIFICE with Michael Madsen, and BLOWBACK with Mario Van Peebles. Television credits include I MARRIED A MONSTER and BEVERLY HILLS 90210.
Her latest venture, the documentary BEHIND THE BURLY Q is an intimate look at old-time burlesque with over 100 hours of interviews with the former stars of the medium. She traveled across America for close to 2 years recording the men and women that worked on the burlesque wheel. Many had never spoken about their experiences before. Sadly, a dozen have since passed away. The film premieres in Dublin in Feb 2010, with a NY release April 23 at the Quad Cinema.
