Some say it runs in the family, but for young Field Cate there is no denying it: acting is in his blood. From a family of generations of entertainers, Field, it seems, was destined to be a performer.

With his mother originating from Los Angeles and his grandparents still living there, Field and his family left the East Coast for Hollywood shortly before his fifth birthday. Having already appeared in a number of children's theater productions back East, Field enrolled in improvisation classes in L.A. and began performing weekly on stage. A year later, he turned his love of acting into a professional career. He signed with an agency and began booking print work, independent and short films, industrials, music videos, and commercials. It wasn't long before he was landing dramatic roles on television.

Residing with his mother, Dianne Tangel-Cate, and his little brother, Springer, Field divides his time between school and acting. When he isn't working, he loves making parody videos, doing musical theater, playing video games, reading manga books, and collaborating with his writing partner, Coleman. His future professional goals include being an actor, writer, director, and video game designer.
