Growing up in Alexandria, Virginia, Christina Chambers knew from an early age that she wanted to become an actress. She became highly interested in Shakespeare while in high school, after being introduced by her English teacher and seeing a performance by Ian McKellen that she said had a great impact on her life. This led Chambers to spend a summer at Stratford studying with The Royal Shakespeare Company, where she portrayed Goneril in “King Lear.”

Upon college graduation, Christina toured the country as the member of the Shenandoah Shakespeare Express, where she played Juliet in “Romeo and Juliet,” Titania in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” Irish in “Antony and Cleopatra,” Viola in “Twelfth Night,” among others. After leaving the tour, she signed with a New York commercial agency and relocated to New York. There, she also caught the eye of a modeling agent that ended up in appearing in many commercials. However, it was an encounter with her acting agent, Peter, during a New York showcase that Christina’s acting career started to accelerate.

Making her film debut in the comedy/drama Life 101 (1995), Christina gained fame as Maria Torres-Evans on the Aaron Spelling “Sunset Beach,” a role she held from 1998 until the show’s final episode in 1999. Having moved to Los Angeles since filming “Sunset Beach,” the actress continued to appear in guest roles in episodes of “G vs E” (2000), “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” (2000, as licentious airline passenger Vicki), “Glory Days” (2002), “The Parkers” (2002) and “Wanda at Large” (2003), and was then cast as Taylor Jones in the MTV series “Spyder Games” (2001) following the diminish of “Sunset Beach.” During this time, she also made a short movie, Scam (2001).

In 2004, Christina landed a lead in the made-for-TV film Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Charlie’s Angels, playing the part of Jaclyn Smith. The drama also starred Tricia Helfer, Lauren Stamile, Dan Castellaneta and Bruce Altman. Still in 2004, she joined the cast of the long running soap “As the World Turns” in the role of Molly Peterson Conlan McKinnon. In addition to guest starring roles in “Two and a Half Men,” “Strong Medicine” and “CSI: Miami,” Chambers returned to film the next year with a supporting role opposite Eddie Jones and J.P Davis in Fighting Tommy Riley, a sport-themed directed by Eddie O’Flaherty.

More recently, Chambers stars as Heather in the comedy series “The Rules: A Lesbian Survival Guide” (2006-?), opposite Marnie Alton and Megan Cavanagh. Besides, she had episodic roles in “Half & Half” and “Bones” (both 2006).
