THIS YEAR: Carol Rodriguez, the school record-holder in the 200m and 400m, returns for her senior year as one of the top collegiate sprinters in the country.

2007: Ran a career legal-best 11.24 (hand-timed) 100m dash to win at the Pepsi Invitational in Eugene, Ore. on April 15...won both the 100m and 200m races at the Pac-10 and NCAA West Championships, as well as running on the winning 4x100m relay teams at both meets. Also ran anchor on the 3rd-place 4x400m relay team at the Pac-10 Championships. Placed 4th in the 100m at the NCAA Championships with a time of 11.40 and ran the anchor for the 4x100m relay team which placed 3rd at the NCAAs with a time of 43.69. Ran her first 400m race of the season on April 28 at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet and won with a time of 51.90, 4th-best time by a collegiate runner to that point.

2006: Rodriguez established herself as one of the top sprinters in the country, placing third at the NCAA Championships held in Sacramento, Calif. in the 100m (11.38), fourth in the 200m (22.96) and third as part of USC's 4x100m relay team...The relay team set a school record with a time of 42.96...Also starred at the NCAA West Regional in Provo, Utah on May 27, winning the 100m with a wind-aided time of 11.09...Also won the 200m with a time of 22.62...A day earlier in the preliminaries, she ran a school and Pac-10 record time of 22.23...Also ran the final leg in USC's winning 4x100m relay team which set a meet record with a time of 43.59...At the Pac-10 Championships on May 14, she placed third in the 100m (11.40), won the 200m (22.81) and helped establish a meet record in the 4x100m with a 43.59 time...Was a four-time winner at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet in Westwood, Calif. on April 29, winning the 200m (23.08), 400m (51.51), 4x100m (43.26) and 4x400m (3:36.48)...Her 400m time set the USC school record and was a new Puerto Rican national record...Also earned Indoor All-America honors as she placed second in the 200m with a time of 22.71...Chosen as the 2006 Women's Athlete of the Year for Puerto Rico among all female athletes.

2005: Rodriguez was one of the Trojans' top sprinters as a freshman...She had the Trojans' top 200m time with a wind-aided best of 23.74 at the Mt. Sac Relays on April 17 to finish fifth...Her best 100m time of 11.74 came on April 16 at the Long Beach Invitational..She ran the anchor leg on the 4x400m relay team that ran the then eighth-fastest time in school history of 3:33.53 on June 9 in the prelims at the NCAA Championships...The 4x400m relay team finished second at the NCAA West Regional with a time of 3:36.54.

HIGH SCHOOL: Rodriguez prepped at Western High in Anaheim, Calif., for her first three years, where she was a three-time Orange League 100m and 200m champion as well as a two-time CIF Div. III champ, then spent her senior year at Long Beach (Calif.) Wilson High...She won the 200m at the 2003 Nike Indoor National Championship and was second in the 60m...Holds the Orange County prep marks for the 100m (11.43) and 200m (23.61)...Was a member of the U.S. Junior team...Made the honor roll in high school.

PERSONAL: Carol was born on Dec. 26, 1985 in Pomona, Calif....She is sociology major at USC.
