Brett was born in Connecticut and grew up in Massachusetts, where he started his entertainment career in theater. He was a member of the Wachusett Theater Company, the Foothills Theater Company and the Westborough Players Group, where he performed in classics such as BIG, Oliver, The King & I, Singing in the Rain and a Christmas Carol. At the age of 10, Brett landed his first feature film in the Independent Spirit Award winning film, Freedom Park, and followed it up with a short film called The Casket. Soon after, he starred opposite Rosario Dawson in the New York City production of This Revolution, which earned him a trip to the Sundance Film Festival. His first non-indie film was Balls of Fury, a feature film which starred Christopher Walken, George Lopez and a number of the Reno 911 guys and gals.

His latest film was Let Me In, directed by Matt Reeves, a vampire film where he had fun playing a psychopath! Brett has also been seen on the small screen, starting with a guest star role in on NBC's Kidnapped, a recurring role on FOX's The Winner, and a series regular role for two years on A&E's The Cleaner, where he co-starred with Benjamin Bratt and Grace Parks. After the show was canceled, Brett most recently could be seen guest starring on CBS's NCIS, LA, ABC's Private Practice, FOX's House & CBS's CSI, Miami. Brett resides in Studio City, California and will graduate from iQ Academy High School in June. In his spare time, Brett likes to play his guitar, play ice hockey, work out, hike, play video games, hang out with friends, and root for his Boston Red Sox.
