Alicia Coppola has a bachelor's degree from New York University in 1990. Despite the surname, she is not related to Francis Ford Coppola, director of Mario Puzo's Godfather trilogy.

She has guest-starred in various television series including Jag, American Dreams and more recently in Two and a Half Men, NCIS and Las Vegas.

Alicia started her TV career as a hostess on the game show Remote Control. In 1991, she was hired to play vixen Lorna Devon on the soap opera Another World where she played the role for three years until it ended in 1994.
