Alexandra Leighton began her career as a commercial print and runway model for such designers as Dolce & Gabbana, Michael Kors, and Krizia. She was then cast in a Budweiser commercial where Joe Pytka, a leading commercial and television director, encouraged her to continue acting in film and television. A year later, Alexandra landed a recurring role on CBS's "Swingtown" where she played the fun-loving, upper class swinger, Cherie Hyatt. Directed by Alan Poul and Josh Marston (Maria Full of Grace), Alexandra credits these men along with creator, Mike Kelley for giving her the opportunity to improvise, expand her role on Swingtown, and be sought out by ABC and CBS's heads of casting while they look forward to pilot season. Alexandra is an active philanthropist whose primary causes are cancer and diabetes research, awareness, and support. She has served as head of the auction committee for The American Cancer Society's "Cal Spirit" event, and annually donates and works to raise money for The American Diabetes Association.
